I need to share something personal with you. I live with chronic illness. I say that as your doctor, and as someone who has spent years watching patients manage conditions that reshape daily life in ways that are invisible to almost everyone around them. I say it because I think it matters.

For a long time, I let my illness talk me out of travel. I told myself I would go when things were better. When I had more energy. When my body was more cooperative. Some of you know exactly what that kind of postponement feels like — because you are living it right now. I stopped waiting. I booked a Disney Cruise. I loaded up my ScootNGo Lite mobility scooter. I put a TUTU on the back of it — because if I am rolling onto a Disney Cruise ship, I am doing it in style. And I rolled straight up to a Disney Princess and got a hug that I will never forget.

Watch the video. I promise it is worth 30 seconds of your time. That moment is exactly why I became a Disney travel planner. Not just because I love Disney (though I absolutely do). But because I know what it feels like to wonder whether the magic was made for someone else. Whether your needs are too complicated. Whether the logistics are just too much. They are not. Disney Cruise Line, when it is planned right, is genuinely one of the most accessible vacation experiences in the world. The key words are "planned right." That is where I come in. I wrote two blog posts about this — one from the travel planning side, and one from the clinical side — because this story lives in both parts of my life.

If you are someone living with a chronic condition — or you love someone who is — I hope you will read at least one of them. And if you have ever thought about a Disney trip but talked yourself out of it because of your health situation, I would love to talk through what is actually possible for you. My planning services are always FREE to you. Disney pays me directly.

Please share this post if it speaks to you or to someone you know. You never know who needs to see a woman in a scooter with a TUTU getting a princess hug today.
